Combating Child Trafficking in Intercountry adoption
Against Child Trafficking (ACT) is a globally recognized nonprofit organization that works to prevent child trafficking for intercountry adoption. ACT advocates for social policies in alignment with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and conducts extensive research on child rights issues. We function as a Documentation & Research Center, collating invaluable data that serves various child rights and human rights NGOs, as well as individual child rights advocates and legal professionals dealing with child trafficking issues.
ACT partners with likeminded organizations, such as the Adoptee Rights Campaign, to bring together adoptees and adoptee organisations to promote awareness on the history, malpractice, and damage caused by the intercountry adoption business and poor government practices. See ACT’s affilate United Adoptees International here.
